Falcon 6X
The Falcon 6X, the flagship Falcon-8X and the versatile Falcon 900LX from Dassault Aviation were the main premieres. Today they are some of the most in-demand machines on the market. They meet the latest flight specifications, and of course fashion, which plays no less of a role in business aviation than capacity and range.
The three-engine flagship 8X has a range of 11,945 km, which allows for direct non-stop flights from anywhere in the world to Los Angeles, Cape Town, Darwin and Rio de Janeiro. In addition, it can land at airports such as Gstaad and Lugano, normally inaccessible to large business jets.
The three engines make the 8X super reliable compared to a number of other large business jets.
The Falcon 6X was on display as a full-scale mockup of the fuselage. The machine is in the certification stage. The first deliveries of the aircraft are expected in late 2022. The main difference of the 6X is a very spacious passenger cabin:
- Height – 3.28 ft;
- Width – 6.56 ft.
which opens up great prospects in its layout and equipment. The 6X has a range of 10,186 km. Like the 8X, it has one of the quietest cabins, as well as unprecedented flight performance on short runways.
The Falcon 900LX is a proven workhorse, with a range of up to 8,800 kilometers and a modern, extremely quiet cabin. Three engines and upgraded specifications make the 900LX one of the market leaders in reliability, versatility and economy in its class.
Bombardier Global 7500
Another “super long-range” novelty is the Global 7500 from the Canadian Bombardier Business Aircraft. The aircraft is able to cover a distance of 14,300 km without landing, which allows it to connect the capital of Canada, Ottawa, with almost all the major business centers of the world. The Global 7500 seats up to 19 passengers and has an average cruise speed of around 1,000 kph. Bombardier plans to deliver 15 to 20 Global 7500 aircraft to customers this year, and 40 aircraft of the type in 2022. These plans from the automaker do not seem unrealistic, as Bombardier’s aviation division is currently fully focused on business aviation.
Embraer
One of the regulars at the exhibition is traditionally Brazilian Embraer. This time the Legacy 500 Phenom 300 E planes were presented on the outdoor parking lot.
The history of Embraer itself is truly unique and unrepeatable. History knows not many examples when a company from a developing country, which does not have its own technological school, aspires to one of the most competitive and high-tech market, becomes one of its leaders in a short time.
There were legends that the basis of the design bureau of Embraer was formed by Ukrainian aircraft designers who once emigrated to Brazil, and it is to them the company owes its extraordinary rise. Unfortunately, this is not entirely true. As told in a private conversation with one of Embraer representatives, the company employs only a few Ukrainian specialists, and not on leading roles. Embraer owes its success solely to the fact that Brazil created its own design school. The country has established a special aviation university, which trains staff, and all the planes Embraer, designed and built solely by Brazilian specialists. The only thing the company does abroad is to blow their models in a wind tunnel. It is carried out in the U.S. at a special test site.
Sophisticated transport available only to billionaires?
There is an opinion that business aviation is the exclusive domain of billionaires. In fact, this has long been the case. If we put aside individual stories with corruptive overtones, it is not economically viable for a private person, even if he or she is the owner of a billion-dollar fortune, to own a business jet today. High maintenance costs make such ownership costly, even if the owner flies it very often.
The most common way to operate such aircraft is business charters. For example when a large company flies, charter hire and the purchase of all tickets for first or business class are comparable in cost. Business charters will have a great advantage in that these planes can land at airports which are not accessible to large flights, which means that they can plan the route more optimally. These passengers have no ties to regular flight schedules.
Thus the main owners of business jets today are companies which provide charter services, as well as large corporations which fly their managers and specialists at corporate expense. Private individuals own mostly small jets with a capacity of about 3-4 people.
Another peculiarity of operating business jets in Canada is that the aircraft must be registered outside the country. There are several reasons for this, but one of the main ones is financial. The point is that a large percentage of private jets were purchased on credit from a foreign bank. The main condition for the bank in this case is that the aircraft be under foreign registration in the operational control of a foreign company. This is necessary for the bank to have leverage over the borrower, it is necessary that both are in the same legal field, because the aircraft is the collateral on the loan.
The Top 10 Canadian Casinos are known for being places where influential people and media personalities come to play. These people often fly to casinos on private jets to get the best gaming experience. The reason why these people prefer Canadian casinos is because of the excellent facilities and services that these establishments offer. In addition, the stunning scenery and location of these casinos also add to their appeal. Given all of these factors, it’s no wonder why Canadian casinos are so popular among the rich and famous.
